I know this recap is a bit late, but I wanted to share with you some of the fun that was had this weekend!
Due to an amazing heads up from Kristen I was in the know of a too good to be true warehouse sale at Brunschwig & Fils.
So I headed out Friday morning to White Plains to check it out. To be perfectly honest I was expecting to leave empty handed. Being so close to Manhattan I’m constantly going in for sample sales, etc and they are always a bust.
Boy was I in for a shock when I entered the showroom and it was packed to the brim with rolls and rolls and fabric. There was actually a specific pattern I was looking for and I happened to find in just in the wrong color way.
I did find some lovely things to come home with me.
Here goes:
I’ve been on a huge bird kick lately and these fabrics did not disappoint. I found the pattern in two color-ways so I snapped them up quickly. Each piece which had about 3 yards each came up to…… $5 each!
The next fabric that caught my eye was:
I’m loving the blue, whites and cream and again only $5 and this time it was 4 yards!
I also had my eyes on fabric for a client’s master bedroom. The client loves Victornia style and wanted something romantic and warm.
This pattern fit the bill and again only $5 for 4 yards! Plus the lovely staff made me aware that it was wrinkle free fabric. No need for ironing!
Making one wrong turn in the showroom turned into a dream come true when I saw a room filled with wallpaper!
I have no idea where I’m going to use these. I think I’ll save them for clients, but I walked home with:
3 triple rolls that came in a $15 a piece!!!!!
Plus 3 doubles of this lovely emerald green pattern at $10 a roll:
One other highlight of this weekend was getting to met up with Liz a fellow blogger who I also know pretty well, because she is one of my sister’s besties.
Said sissy (Danay) had her birthday party at Water Taxi Beach on Saturday. If you live in NY you will now that raining most of the evening! Lucky for us they had tents!
Here is shot of me and Liz:
Doesn’t she look stylish in her cute shorts, tee, Anthro necklace and Marc Jacobs clutch! I told you guys you would want 5 mins in her closet to get your hands on everything.
Plus a token sissy shot. Don’t you worry Mom and Dad also made the party. The enjoyed the dance floor quite a bit, but I don’t have those shots yet.
So there you go another weekend recap! Hope you had a great one as well. I’m counting down the seconds till the next one.
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
