HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I don’t actually remember where I first saw David Adickes works I just remember jotting it down in one of many blog idea notebooks and noting that some of his works reminded me of the colors in Chiang Mai Dragon.     Take a peek and see if you agree with me:   Bright trees […]

Artist Crush: David Adickes

When it comes to people and places I never judge a book by it’s cover so to speak. At least I try really hard not to and have an open mind.   But when it comes to books I find myself totally judging a book by it’s cover. My friends always joke that if it […]

Judging a book by it’s cover

Most girls dream of the day when they get something sparkly in a little blue box.     Throughout my teen years and early twenties I was more excited about what was inside the box then the actual box itself.   But now nothing makes my heart-pitter patter more than a stylish box that I […]

Little boxes…

When I was re-designing our guest bedroom I knew that the space would also house a small desk that I could as a mini office if they mood should ever strike. Because of that I wanted a giant bulletin board to tack up all of my pictures.   This board from Ballard Designs was the […]

DIY:HOMASOTE BULLETIN BOARD

I’m not a seamstress by any means. I’m actually quite awful with the sewing machine. Every time I even try to use it/learn how use it something always happens. Last time the machine just died on me. Perhaps it could feel that I hate it so and just gave up on life.   So when […]

Pillow Talk: DIY steps

To be honest with you when I first moved in our house I didn’t give the second bedroom much thought. It quickly became a home office. I picked out a color I liked, painted the walls, added furniture from the old office and called it a day.   Then I took a career turn, did […]

If you know even just a little about me you know that I love pattern! Zig-zag print has always been on the top of my  I LOVE PATTERN  list. It’s a favorite of mine I try to talk everyone in it. My favorite example of the perfect zig-zag has to be by Alan Campbell. His […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
