Normally I feel like I accomplish many things during the weekend. Bits of house projects get dwindled off of my to-do lists along with having new projects get starting.
This weekend though was different. We had massive amounts of rain all weekend long. I was originally going to go to the fabric district in the city on Saturday, but with the winds howling and the rain falling I gave those plans a good old rain check.
While my weekend was filled with a lot of doing NOTHING! It was delightful just to sit around and watch movies, read magazines, bake banana bread, but I did venture out of my house before the rain got too bad and decided to find some bargains for myself and not my house!
So off I went with my mom in tow to one of my favorite shops for deals….Nordstrom’s Rack.
Check out what I came home with:
This lovely French Connection dress has beautiful crewel work detailing on it.
It was originally $198
Then on sale for $79.97
I got it for….. $19.97!
I also bought home a dress from one of my favorite lines: Leifsdottir (which is one of Anthro’s brands)
My last purchase of the day was a dress that I actually had my eyes out the last couple of times I was at the rack, but it always fit a little too tight.
Well this Saturday the Trina Turk beauty fit like a dream.
It was originally $295
Then on sale for $89.97
I got it for $ 22.97!
Woo hoo! I think I deserve a black belt in shopping for all of those finds!
The last dress will actually be making it’s debut this weekend, because I was asked by the sweet people at DIFFA to blog live from their Dining by Design event that will take place from March 18th-22nd in conjunction with the Architectural Digest Home Show.
So if you are in the NY area and want to meet me and my fab dress I’ll be there Saturday from 10am- 11am.
I love Nordstrom Rack! I got the most insane Milly dress there for a steal! Love it when that happens. Your dresses are adorable! Love the Leifsdottir!
Love Love Love the Rack! Beautiful dresses. I keep telling my husband that I am saving us money… he always tells me that saving would be not buying at all. I fail to see his point. =)
Wow, what amazing deals! I really REALLY want a Nordstrom rack to open up near me. I've always heard it's got way better deals than Off Fifth or Last Call.
A Nordstrom Rack is opening up near my office very soon, and I can't wait! Well, I'll have to wait until I'm out of maternity clothes, but it will be a prime shopping destination once my bod is somewhat back to normal. 🙂
yes, you do deserve a black belt. Hey, I am going to this: http://www.icff.com/page/home.asp in May, want to come with me? If you can't make it we should try to do lunch or coffee.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]

Wow, what amazing deals! I really REALLY want a Nordstrom rack to open up near me. I've always heard it's got way better deals than Off Fifth or Last Call.
Oh, it was SO nice of you to pick up that Anthro dress for your youngest sissy!
Should I meet you before your event on Saturday so I can change into it? 😉
Honestly, what did I tell you about 1- going shopping 2- buying anything orange, 3- buying elephant jewelry without me? This never should be done.
Love ya,
Danay
I haven't been to Nordstrom Rack in years, but if you found beauties like that there, I need to start shopping there again!
all cute. last one is my fave. gorgeous.
A Nordstrom Rack is opening up near my office very soon, and I can't wait! Well, I'll have to wait until I'm out of maternity clothes, but it will be a prime shopping destination once my bod is somewhat back to normal. 🙂

Excellent finds, I can't wait to see pictures!
Great buys! Definitely a black belt. I MISS Nordstrom Rack! But I do have a killer "Runway" department at my TJMaxx.
Woo Hoo is right! You hit the fashion bargain jackpot. Cute finds!
Absolutely love all three dresses! Very productive weekend 🙂
OMG aren't you the bargain shopper! Great finds.
Nice! I've had my eye on that second dress at Anthro for a while now. I love seeing the bargains people come home with.. thanks for sharing!
Love the French Connection dress… what a great deal. Glad you enjoyed a nice, relaxing weekend!
you're gonna look so sassy in all 3 of those dresses! Love the last one especially.
My favorite kind of weekend is when nothing is on the calendar. It's the only time I get to shop – on-line or otherwise. Hope you have a great week.
Great finds. love the rack.
This is a dangerous post…makes me want to shop!
