I love getting mail! Especially when it’s magazines & catalogs. The other day in my mail pile a familiar face was looking back at me.
Ok so the picture wasn’t familiar in the sense that I actually know the person, but familiar in the way that I’m beyond obsessed with the lady. Don’t worry it’s not in a creepy way just in a professional way.
Her interior design work is impeccable, she is the queen of traditional with a twist and I love her unique name. It was none other than Celerie Kemble.
Celerie was picked by J.CREW as part of a group of ladies that inspire their collections.
Doesn’t she look so chic! I could design a whole room around her outfit.
Love the statement jewelry – check
Small flower print & ruffles for a touch of feminine – check
Sparkly skirt for a touch of glam – check
Belt with small studs for a bit of edge –check
All crucial elements in a stylish outfit or room.
She runs a design firm which her mother started in the early 80s.
She has a fabric line and is not afraid of pattern and bold colors especially my all time favorite…orange!
Her book, To Your Taste resides on my nightstand and is a constant source of inspiration. I’ve read it multiple times and I always learn something new.
The interiors that her and her team create are simply gorgeous.
Take a glimpse into some of my favorites from their portfolio:
Celerie’s office where I’m certain all the magic happens. Loving the blues and green/yellows. It reminds me a bit of the colors in my business card.
It must be amazing to be a part of her team. I would be happy enough to simply fetch her coffee!
I was also excited to see Celerie in JCrew (and I think it's a brilliant idea on their part to feature prominent women in the arts as models). And her book is one of my favorites.
Wow, gorgeous! I love the yellow and teal combination and the teal leather chairs. That office is to die for! Thanks for sharing – great taste, Well Heeled Lady!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
I love her use of color!!
I adore her style. She was actually a few years ahead of me in school. And that really is her real name…her sister is Phoebe. Nice girls.
I've had her book on my Amazon wish list for awhile. After seeing these images, I'm thinking I should just go ahead and buy it for myself!
I am drooling over the lamps with the huge green shades. Gorgeous!
I was just posting about how much I like getting mail today. She has great style.
What a great collaboration! loves Celeries' style – thanks for the pics! KG
I totally agree – it's her not too over the top use of color that gets me every time. And I love the belt in the jcrew add! Marija
