I stumbled upon designer Ellen Hamilton work a couple of days when searching for an image on google.
I always love when one click of the mouse leads to another that leads to another, etc.
I had to share my latest fascination with you all. You know how I love a good dose color well Ellen and her team go above and beyond with their use of color.
Here is Ellen. Don’t you just want to run out and grab a cup of coffee with her?
The team went with a neutral wall in this room, but doesn’t mean they were color shy. Look at the pops of zebra on the walls, suzani on the sofa and bursts of green all throughout.
Here is the opposite side of the room. I love, love, love this gallery wall. It looks like a great collection that has evolved over time and just placed organically on the walls.
This is actually the image that lead me to find Ellen. Be still my heart with that China Seas AGA covered sofa!
I told you they weren’t shy with color. Check out this bright sunny room with orange window treatments!
I would take this closet/dressing room in a heartbeat.
While they are based in Brooklyn and do a great amount of city work they also venture out to the country/beach.
Loving this dining room. Those striped chairs just sing to me!
Don’t you just love the three globes over the island?
I just love seeing how a design team can go from producing rooms that use every color in a crayon box to using neutrals and classic to produce serene rooms.
If those images don't sing of spring I don't know what does. and those three globe light fixtures–I would spend hours pulling my hair out trying to place them oh so perfectly–and perfectly placed they are!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
Wow – yes! Love everything about these images!! Especially the first two. Great use of color.
Alaina
Can you give me her number so I can go live with her?
Gooood find! I can't decide if I like the city house or beach house more, but that Aga sofa might just send the city house over the edge.
Are you serious? Both spaces are beyond fabulous!
If those images don't sing of spring I don't know what does. and those three globe light fixtures–I would spend hours pulling my hair out trying to place them oh so perfectly–and perfectly placed they are!
