Todd Selby is a portrait, interiors and fashion photographer and illustrator. He took his love for photography and our love of wanting to know what is going in our neighbors home and produced The Selby. He started by photographing his friends in their personal spaces.
Of course his friends just exude cool. I know my home will never be on his site. I think it’s too normal, but it’s fun to see what others do in their own homes.
In flipping through the book I spotted one of my favorite interior designers home, Jonathan Adler.
Here is a peek of their content page. I love the use of illustrations instead of a traditional laundry list look.
Another fun touch in the book is a page of stickers!
The book is 255 pages of beautiful inspiration. Totally makes me remember to think outside the box when designing.
Of course I love to share so when they offered to send me a book I asked for an additional copy for a give-away.
Here is what you have to do to enter:
1. Make sure you are a follower of the blog.
2. Leave me a comment about whatever you like!
3. Remember to leave me an email address where I can reach you if you win.
4. If you twitter or blog about this contest on your blog you can enter again.
Anyone can enter. You don’t need to have a blog to do so.
4 is lucky also, right?! =) I don't know if it's just my computer screen, but in the Jonathan Adler photo it looks like the man on the right is a doll. And can I have that blue rug?!!
Sorry sorry – same Meredith as above, but the link to my blog didn't work. I'll use my google profile this time so you can find me and I'll tweet for ya too! Thanks!
The Selby is one of my favorite online destinations, as is High-Heeled Foot in the Door (I'm subscribed to the feed in my Google Reader). Thanks for making this lovely book available as a giveaway!

Oooh! Looks super cool! I just read a piece about Jonathan Adler that he and his partner are like little old ladies drinking tea and they decorate the complete opposite of their personalities. I loved that!
Love that Simon and Jonathan are playing ping pong in the living room!! That rug makes me swoon! I'd love to see more in The Selby – thanks for such a great giveaway!

ON THE BLOG
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
