Well Easter weekend came and went and I survived hosting the event.
We had beautiful weather and my little pups spent the majority of the weekend al fresco.
Bear: Ok so Bear looks a bit scary in the picture with all those teeth starring back at you, but I just had to share this picture. First off he LOVES that stick. Carries it around all of the place and is constantly trying to bring it inside. Second look at how he uses his paws like hands to hold down the stick. So cute!
Moo: How cute is he? I got Moo as a Christmas present from Jon when I was 21. It was love at first sight. I found him at a pet store that I would visit in the mall during my breaks from Nordstrom’s. I would take him out to play, and yes I named him before he was mine. I stopped going to the store, because I didn’t want to go in one day and find him sold. Then low and behold Christmas Eve I opened up my gift and this little face pops up.
* He is also the main star on my blog header!
Now while they were playing I was inside playing the Hostess with the Mostess. All went as planned, everyone enjoyed the food and company and this lady forgot to take any pictures!
Don’t fret though this morning I took some shots of the dining room so that you could get a little sneak peek of the space.
Close up of the chairs:
Shot of the grass cloth wallpaper and newly painted white!
I still need a new lighting fixture, window treatments, artwork and a server, but we are almost there!
How did your weekend’s go? Have you eaten your fill of peeps? I know I did. I used them for a centerpiece yesterday and I’ve slowly been finishing them off.
I have a lab named Pearl, who does the exact same thing as your Bear and uses her paws like hands to hold down her sticks and tennis balls! The room looks wonderful – the chairs are phenomenal and look lovely against the rug.
I miss my dogs. Your dogs appear to be so happy! Your dining room is looking great! Love the table, chairs, rugs…can't wait to see the finished product!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
I love when my dogs can hang outside with us all day. Now if only this rain would stop.
Hope you had a lovely Easter!
Easter was nice, albeit a bit quiet as I spent a good portion of my weekend catching up on sleep.
