  2. The Brick Cottage says:

Is it wrong to be insanely jealous over your planter's boxes? Because I am so jealous! I love the color. We've been working on relocating our garden bed to a better spot in the yard and how I wish I had time to have the hubs build some small boxes like that.

    Good luck with the audition!

  3. Casa Bella says:

What an amazing idea! My hubs is planning to make some boxes for the garden. I think we'll drive around and see what we find! Excellent find! Your vegetable garden looks fantastic (with the boxes pointed in my favorite color!)

  4. Sit. Relax. Gossip. says:

I'm so impressed with your weekend productivity and those planter boxes. Good luck on the audition!

  5. Flavia @ Estilo Home says:

Loved seeing your video & hearing about your message on becoming a doer. Good luck!!

  6. Helena - A Diary of Lovely says:

Camilla I wanted to thank you so much for this video, absolutely inspiring!
I have been changing jobs and not knowing what I really want to do since I graduated. You inspire me to keep looking and to be more of a doer than not! thanks!!

  7. stylewannabee says:

You two rock. If you are ever in Phoenix stop by and help me out. OK?

  8. The Neglected Nest says:

Your planter idea is fantastic! We've been lamenting over how costly it will be for us to build the planter boxes we want, but I think your idea is much more appealing!!! Thanks and great job!

  9. Chic Coles says:

I love seeing what you did in your backyard! Those planters are so much fun and a great DIY. I garden with my mom in the summer and it is so much work…something you wouldn't think would be that tiring and time consuming actually is!

  10. Erika @ BluLabel Bungalow says:

what great colors for your garden! maybe now you can relax while watching your flowers grow! best wishes on the audition!

  11. HAMPTON HOSTESS says:

I love the blue paint you used–do you know off hand the color? So bright and cheery-perfect for those spring flowers. If you are looking for some inspiration, see my post on the Macys flower show on Hampton Hostess today! All the best, Barbara

  12. Erin @ Cultivating Home says:

Did you get the pallets at a chain/franchise store or is it independent? I would love to use some for planters in my own yard if I only knew where to get them! You did a wonderful job!

  13. Pemberley says:

Love the raised beds. We have a ton of lumber we just got to do the same. I think I'm going with black for the beds. Will post when we get that project done, hopefully this weekend. Thanks for the inspiration!

  14. kayce hughes says:

LOVE the planters. Brilliant and beautiful.

  15. KatyO! says:

such a great idea for the planters!!! I'll have to remember that for next summer when we get our garden going (taking a break this summer!!)

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]

The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]

new-farrow-and-ball-paint-color-picks-for-my-house

Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]

What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]

I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
