My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
That would make a crazy adorable nightstand for a bedroom cramped on space. Great find!
I have always loved these bookcases. I was actually thinking that I might make my own and mount it right onto the wall. I would have to wait until I moved out of my rental though…
this looks awesome!! i have always loved this look!!
I have the shorter DWR one, and I love it! My husband, then boyfriend, gave it to me years ago for a present. and it gets so many compliments when guests visit. In my first NYC apartment I had it in my entry way, and it became an instant conversation piece as guests would scan my titles as they entered/exited and would ask how I liked various books.
I've seen this a while back on ikeahacker.com
$39.00 for 2… cant beat that

I have one of the CB2 shelves in my office and while I love the look of it, it's SO not practical with a little one walking around. He just loves to pull the books out. Wish I would've thought of that before I bought it. Oh well, it looks cool and that's all that really matters, right. : b
Oh, I am totally going to do this! My husband and I have so many books, we make Barnes & Noble look empty! What a fabulous idea- thanks for the inspiration.
I LOVE spine book cases!
The vertical bookcase has been on my wish list for like for ever, one of my favorites looks! Love your look for less! Now I just wish I could make that kind of holes on our rented apartment…
What a great option! I love this look.

Great options, especially the vertical ones
Love it!! Such a clean yet eclectic look.
Love all it. And you can't beat that price! I just awarded you a Happy 101 Award (my latest post). I'm sure you've received 1000's of these already. But you are certainly one of my top 10. 🙂
LOVE this!! great way to display books beautifully! And the idea in first comment by Amy is GENIUS! Thanks for sharing!
Correction, sorry Liz said that 🙂
I've loved those bookcases for a while. Thanks for the information on them!
