I hope you all had a relaxing weekend. Normally we go out east during the 4th of July holiday, but this time around we said local and it was just as nice.
We got to eat some yummy food, spend time with friends and family, meet a new addition to our extended family, and sleep in late.
Of course we had a couple of trips to Home Depot & LOWES as well.
I tried to relax a bit and step away from my computer and camera, but I did snap a couple of shots on my iphone.
Supplies from a trip to Home Depot: Any guesses on what I’m making?
We have a local fabric shop where all of the fabrics are either $1, $3 or $5. I went home with this for my bedroom:
My weekend started with a lovely surprise from a client.
Thanks Anne! So happy she enjoys her room so much.
Of course I snuck in a little work. Fabrics for a new clients bedroom:
I also got a bunch of lovely emails from readers about my internship plea. I was being serious I really do need help and it can be done virtually. At the moment it is unpaid, but can be for school credit if anyone needs that.
Looking for someone that is good with social media and has a bit of graphic design knowledge along with someone else who just loves design and wants to learn more about the business and blogging.
If you are interested email me at cpavone0107@gmail. For those of you that have already emailed me I’ll be getting back to you this week.
What were you up to this weekend? Please tell me ice-cream was involved in some part of it. All weekend long we have been in the high 90s so yes I’ve had it a bunch of times already this week.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
I want a fabric store near me that sells fabrics for $1, $3 and $5. I love what you brought home!
I really love the green prints! Ice cream was definitely involved in my weekend. I made my very first ice cream cake!
No ice cream for me…sads…trying to be good for the wedding has SERIOUSLY been crampin' my style! Hope yours was fab!
Ice cream was not involved, but my grandmother made the best Key Lime Pie from scratch…Yum!!!
I've been eyeing that kelly green fabric for awhile, looking forward to seeing how its used in the space.
I've been eating lots of yogurt – and adding yummy toppings!!
I love the green fabric! Ice cream was in my weekend. I made my very first ice cream cake!
Love all your fabric choices, of course. You always have the best budget finds.
Nothing too exciting for us last weekend. Just relaxed (which was welcome after such a hectic few weeks).
I always love looking at the fabrics you find!
No ice cream for me, but we did have a 4th of July miracle of sorts as the weather in Texas was a cool 87 degrees all weekend. Can't beat that!
umm, are you making a new headboard???
Loving all those fabrics – especially the two green ones!
