I so wish I were doing what you are doing this weekend, but I am not. My family (husband & two kiddos) and I will be traveling 3 hours away to attend a wedding outside on Saturday. Oh, did I mention I live in Texas? It should be outlawed to have a wedding outside in August in TEXAS!

    Try to get some rest!

  4. Shel at Dreamy Nest says:

Good luck! Sounds like you're gonna be busy! I will be working on some projects, too, but for the fun of it…

  5. Katharine Fuchs says:

I feel just like you! I'm having a party tomorrow and have 1 million things to do, work my normal job, and at some point take a shower??!!! All those bags make me happy inside.

  6. Kerry says:

I feel like my house always looks like as of late haha! It makes me feel crazy!

I will have a little fun on Saturday… but when we're not out celebrating other people's milestones, we'll be knocking some projects off our always growing to-do list, and cleaning!

Try to enjoy it at least a little! 🙂

  7. Lauren Jade says:

Sounds like you had a busy week, Camila! Hope you get time to recoup this weekend. No big plans for me — hoping to get a few small things done around the house but R&R is definitely on the top of my list!

  13. Dina @ Honey + Fitz says:

Phew! Good luck!! I have a bunch of nursery projects to finish up including finishing bumpers, crib skirt, organizing the closet and changing table and hanging my giant CB2 abacus in there somewhere. Nesting in full effect 🙂

  14. Hilary Dow-Ward says:

Perhaps it is just me, but I think your weekend sounds really good. I'd love to be a fly on the wall, or an additional set of hands to help! You're doing great work up there next to the big city!

    Sounds like fun to me!

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]

new-farrow-and-ball-paint-color-picks-for-my-house

Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]

What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. mock-up-of-kitchen-design

I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
