With that I show you my latest obsession:
I’ve taken up crocheting and while I don’t know much about it and I’m totally a beginner I was able to work on a little scarf this past weekend and yesterday I took it out for a test drive.
Love! I’m already on to my next one in a citron colored yarn.
P.S. My office has been a work in progress for the last couple of months. The last puzzle piece was new windows and they are being installed this weekend. Totally doing a happy dance about that. I’ve spent the last couple of months working from Jon’s man den and while it was sweet of Jon to share it with me I’m in desperate need of some girly decor.

ON THE BLOG
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
So cute! My grandma tried to teach me how to knit once and it did not end well…
Was it hard? Maybe I should give it another try!
It was really easy. Knitting is harding in my opinion. Crocheting was totally easier. I just searched for you tube videos and figured it out. This video was really helpful:http://youtu.be/hghP9H4XaVc

I made a cowl neck scarf so it was super fast to make. With the citron yarn I’m doing an infinity scarf so that will be around 60″ long.
Not a knitter, although do love the book Friday Night Knit Club

I love that book too! I’m not a knitter as well, but my sister started doing it and became obsessed that I had to try it out. Too chicken to learn knitting I’m just crocheting which is easier.
Awww… I love it! So cute. You did a great job. You are motivating me to learn. That is one thing that I have wanted to learn but haven’t.

No pattern. Just winged it.
I love it!! I tried crocheting once and just came with a thin long string-like thing! I put a book called Stitch ‘n Bitch on my Christmas list along with yarn and knitting needles, so I hope to be able to knit soon! Maybe I’ll make Sparky Doodle a little winter outfit!
