My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
I can’t wait to see it! And congrats to you for being so persuasive..I’ve yet to the man to cave haha
omg THIS makes me so very happy. i LOVE pink!!!!! 🙂 yaaaay.
“The man is the head of the house, but the wife is the neck that moves the head!” Congrats! Can’t wait to see it. 🙂
abby
how sweet that he is letting you paint the living room pink! he must not only completely adore you, but be very comfortable with his man-ness. plus, he knows that you are going to make it look INCREDIBLE!
🙂
oooooooh, I wish I was brave enough to paint a room pink. I’m dying to paint my office pink – but the paint would be easy – it’s all the other stuff I would have to change out or paint to modify pale pink walls. I can’t wait to see what you have done!! What was your inspiration? Good luck!!
A man comfortable in his own skin isn’t afraid of a little pink, especially with a wife who will create a fine balance of feminine and masculine. Your husband sounds like a great man!
Congrats! You must be a very persuasive lady, Camila!
Oh, my husband has been living with pink in some way or another our entire marriage! And mostly without a complaint. Can’t wait to see your pink room, I know I will love it!
I saw a Dear Genevive episode this weekend and she painted this NYC apartment a pale pink, thought of you, it looked great
I’m so excited for your pink room, Camila. Jon is wonderful!
FUN!! Good luck. I can’t wait to check it out. I keep flipping through House Beautiful with all of the pink rooms. I don’t know how you convinced your hubs!
Clearly you have a gift for persuasion!
Oh I’m so jealous! I don’t think I could convince my husband….I just did a post myself recently talking about how I sneak in little bits of pink, hoping he won’t notice! Hah! Can’t wait to see how it looks!
I can’t wait to see it! I love pink but for some reason I am terrified to use it as a wall color. If you convinced your husband you will probably be able to convince me too.
I’m posting about my pink living room this week, it’s Martha’s “ballet slipper.” Is that what you are using or is yours lighter? I have never regretted it, of course I live by myself but I’m sure your hubby will grow to love it!
loving what Roxy had to say…..CAVE! wowzers…
I cannot wait to see this space.
And ummmm how pale is pale? Did you give in because it is just that faint?
Patiently waiting….
Congrats on the change…Just in time for Spring….
I wish I could paint a room pink. My husband is not OK with pink walls. Small touches of pink are OK, pink walls would be a big, fat no.
YaY! Can’t wait to see it.
