She’s a betty…

Everytime I hear/see the word betty used in slang form I immediately get flash backs of an old 90210 episode where Dylan and Brandon go surfing and of course Brandon falls the betty at the beach. Of course the betty has an alcoholic past and tries hooking up with Dylan as well.Ah memories.

Anyway that is neither here nor there. It’s simply an introduction to my latest obsession:

I’ve been searching for a rug for my living room for the past couple of months now and I have yet to find the perfect thing. I found Betty today and I think she might be the one. Subtle pattern and a neutral yet fun pop of color.

We shall see. We need to get the OK from Jon before making Betty mine.

Have you seen Betty used in any rooms? Trying to get a better idea of what it looks like in a room and not finding lots of pictures.

    Just fyi, this rug is also available at DWR and Anthropologie. The DWR website has some photos of the rug with furniture.

    I never comment – but I LOVE your blog!

    I am however…cracking up….as “betty” has another slang meaning. For ummm…a below the waist area. It is most commonly used when talking out trimmings…

    Sorry – but I am peeing up…and now even the rugs shape has me laughing.

    I LOVE the rug – even with the hidden meaning! lol

    I have been stalking that rug for our dressing room for a few weeks now. I can’t find anything even remotely close to it from a texture/pattern/color perspective. I LOVE it but the price…ugh! I hope you get it so I can live vicariously through you 🙂

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
