Etsy Spotlight: Birds of Ashmae

I love ETSY, but I know how overwhelming it can be to sort through it and find things. My favorite finds from ETSY is always artwork and today I’m featuring one of my favorite new custom painting shops!

Birds of Ashmae can take any picture (it can literally be an iphone snapshot) and make a beautiful watercolor image for you. Once you place your custom order you will receive an 8 x 10, 2 5 x 7 versions and a digital copy for only $75! I think it makes a great gift for yourself and others.

I’m already going through my pictures and trying to find the perfect snapshot to get my own.

    Second of all, fabulous NY Times article. I love hearing about how people break into design, ESPECIALLY Avery because she went to my alma mater (UGA)!

    And finally, I am obsessed with anything watercolor and this is totally up my alley. It’s too bad I saw this now- our wedding anniversary was yesterday and this would have been a perfect gift to my hubs! Definitely still on my “want” list! Thanks for sharing! xo

get inspired with our own home tour

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
