We had a rainy weekend, but that didn’t stop us from getting a little work and fun done over the weekend.
Saturday morning we headed into Brooklyn with a partial client install. (More details on that tomorrow. We have a great DIY to share.) After the install we took a drive over to McCarren park to check out the Renegade Craft Fair.
It was a packed event full of goodies. The only downside was the constant down pouring, but here are some of favorite vendors:
In the Seam had really cute pillows. My favorite item was their custom dog pillows.
John Murphyalways has something I’m dying to bring home and this time it was this little guy:
Artwork byCarissa Potterwas a new to me find. She had a little bit of everything, but my favorite was her pen work with flowers.
I adore the look and think it would be easy to recreate on my own with whatever pattern I so choose.
Bark Decorhad some chic hostess gifts. My favorite had to be their owl hand towels. What a hoot. (Yes, I’m that cheesy.)
Beau Idealhad the most beautiful stationary and prints that I’ve seen in a long time. I has hooked at first site. This lovely piece will be featured in my gallery wall:
I’ve been working on a lot of toddler rooms lately so I’m always on the lookout for unique kid friendly art. I loved the colorful prints over at Dial M for Michele and I think my Brooklyn clients would love this Greenpoint print:
So, there is a little virtual trip of some of my favorites. Anyone else attend the fair? What were you up to this weekend?

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
