Easy Dining Table Face Lift
This month’s issue of House Beautiful has to be one of my favorites. My favorite spread? Of course it’s the colorful home designed by Mona Ross Berman. Her favorite color is orange. That of course sealed the deal with me that we were meant to be design BFFs.
I have many favorites from the spread, but the one that stuck with me the most was what she did to the top of a parson style dining table.
From a far it simply looks white:
Take a closer look though and you will see my obsession:
With some simple measurements, painters tape and an array of paint colors you can recreate the look yourself. If your dining table is on it’s way out or wasn’t a big purchase I would head to the store and stock up on supplies. For the perfect lacquered finished it looks like Chemcraft was used.
Anyone have any experience with Chemcraft? I’ve never used it before, but now I’m itching to get my hands on it and see how good the finish really is. No one like there paint chip after all that hard work.

ON THE BLOG
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Oh, that is fabulous! Love it! This was a great issue, wasn’t it? xoxo

Wow, we had a table just like that growing up. Too bad it was sold when modern white went out of style. I would have loved to recreate it just like this pic.
Okay I adore this table and wish I had one to work with!! We like the same color accents!!
