In NY our days of outdoor blooms are gone. All of the flowers have disappeared and in it’s place have appeared leaves and more leaves.
Of course the heart wants what it can’t have it so home decor items with flowers have been on mind non-stop this past week.
Here are some of my favorites:
1. This amazing floral fabric would work well in toss pillows, window panels or even applied to a wall as a wallpaper. At $8.95 a yard it’s totally budget friendly.
2. I’ve used a version of this lighting fixture in a clients home in the past, but this is the first time I’m seeing the inside painted in a bright hue. Love this!
3. Love, love this vintage floral fabric that was used to recover this lampshade.
4. This piece of art is actually just a print from art.com, which is traditionally a site I would think best suited for inexpensive prints to dress up your dorm room, but I’m totally wrong. It was filled with many, many dream worthy prints that would look great framed in a gallery wall. Toying with purchasing this floral number for my own gallery wall.
5. Ah 168 pages of floral prints that can be removed and framed for an impressive gallery wall.
6. Lately I’ve seen a number of plate walls and I’m in love with them again. They were really popular when I first started blogging in ’08 and I fell out of love with them, but they have me under their spell again. I can already these floral plates mixed with my solid and vintage plates.
Any other floral home decor products that should be on my radar?
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I’ve been looking for inexpensive black floral fabric forever for my ottoman. I wanted something dark to hide stains, but I’m a tad sick of graphic prints, so this was perfection! Yay…you totally made my day. xoxoxoxo Danielle
Good Morning! Just wanted to let you know that after I bought one of those JCPenney lamps you highlighted a few weeks ago, I ended up giving the lampshade a mini-makeover. Thank you so much for the lamp suggestion – it looks fantastic with the upgraded shade. I did a mini-tutorial on my blog this morning and I mentioned (and linked) to your site! Thank you again!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
A floral plate wall would be really sweet in a girl’s nursery. This is a great collection of all things floral.
I love the light fixture!
I’ve never really been on to love patterned lampshades, but that floral one has my heart! I love the colors of it!!!
