Lauren from Pure Style Home was my very first blog friend. I’m so happy that our blog friendship turned into a real life friendship and I love getting to see her whenever we happen to be in the same state.
Yesterday Lauren launched her very own textile line!
We all got a little sneak peek of some of the fabrics in action in the room she designed for the DC Design House:
Happikat:
{I’m currently waiting for samples of Happikat. I’m thinking it’s going to make an appearance in my nursery!}
Best part is that Lauren is currently giving away 2 yards! Make sure to enter the giveaway.
Here is what I would do if I won the give-away:
1. I used one of our paintings for inspiration on the color story for this office nook.
2. I would happily pick Happikat and use it for window treatments. Now of course I would need more than 2 yards for panels, but many roman shades can easily be made with 2 yards.
3. Every desk area needs lighting and the lamp shade on this one is screaming my name.
Congratulations to Lauren on an exciting launch! I can only imagine how exciting it is to bring your ideas to fruition. I would love the straight stripe in navy — it’s perfect for a footstool I’m reupholstering!
Hey!!! I actually have that stray dog lamp. Its gorgeous but I no longer have a space for it due to a recent move 🙁 I have been holding out on selling it, hoping to find a
new use for it but would love for it to go to someone with a pretty place for it 🙂 email me if you are interested in buying mine and I will send you the details 🙂
So my boyfriend and I both have Etsy shops (which PS I am loving your and Jon’s paintings!) and we like to share about our sales and we frequently have the same customers and end up in the same treasury lists. The other day he sold these fabulous elephant bookends and I asked him who they were going to and he was like “uh someone named Camilla Pavone,” and since I’ve been following your blog for a while now I was so excited to hear your name! I actually saw your post about the crochet elephants for your nursery and thought of his bookends and how perfect they would be for you…isn’t that funny!? Hope everything is going well with the nursery…you have some GREAT bookends coming! -EVIE

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
