weekend recap

Weekend Recap: Etc

  1. Hang in there! Those last days are the longest. Take naps, watch movies, etc. Do all the things that you won’t be doing again for a loooong time 🙂

  2. Jill says:

I am SO in love with that light! Gorgeous!

I was a swollen beast with my second baby – ugh! It’s the worst and so uncomfortable! You will be surprised how quickly the water weight comes off once the baby comes. I could wear my rings again right after I got home from the hospital. The gross part is I sweated a lot of it out (ewwwww!) but birth and pregnancy is no walk in the park in general… that’s not news!

  3. Lauren Clark says:

Love the custom light fixture – just adorable and the perfect size for that space. Can’t wait to see pics of your little guy when he decides to show up!

  4. Katrina says:

The light looks so cool!! I can relate to the swelling, my baby had me so swollen with lots of water it was insane! No matter how much water I drank 🙁 the good news is its water weight and you’ll be back in your pre-prego jeans and wearing your ring in no time! 🙂

  5. Sweetie, hang in there! I was three weeks late with my daughter. First babies are notoriously “tardy to the party “. Don’t let yourself get all tangled up inside. Breathe deeply, take some lovely baths (not to hot, of course) and enjoy the holiday spirit knowing you are going to have the best Christmas present anyone could ever have! Congratulations and Happy Holidays!

  6. TSL says:

Seems like yesterday you go the big news, can’t believe it is that tim already! (I know you can!) Emily was right, these days are the longest, but enjoy them, we await good news!

  7. Kate Collins says:

Thinking of you! I’m sure it’ll happen any moment now. I can’t wait!

  8. LindsB says:

I cant believe you are so close! I feel like it was just yesterday you were announcing that you were pregnant!

  11. Terese says:

oh man, i’m 34 weeks and ready to get this show on the road…can’t imagine how excited and ready YOU must be feeling! keep those feet up 🙂

    love the light!

  12. sarah says:

Seriously, if I could somehow post a picture with my comment, I would show you my feet after my c-section with my twins. Hilarious! We took a ton of pictures of them and even still when I look at them, I laugh!
It took you so long, same with us, enjoy every second of it!

  13. Lindsey says:

Hey! Your orange and green light made an appearance on an “awesome light fixture article” 🙂 http://www.colourlovers.com/home/blog/2012/01/19/brightening-up-your-spaces-with-the-latest-in-lighting-trends

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]

The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]

new-farrow-and-ball-paint-color-picks-for-my-house

Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]

What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]

mock-up-of-kitchen-design

I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
