Balk Talk: Hudson Overload

  1. JoAnn says:

i am in LOVE with the pic of Jon and Hudson!!!! omg so adorable

  2. Oh, Camila! He’s just adorable!!! Congrats!!

Make sure to really enjoy this time and take things easy with work and other non-baby commitments. Hudson will never be this little and it goes by so fast. One day you’ll wake up and realize he’s a toddler! The next he’ll be starting school. It’s depressing how fast it goes by, actually. So slow it down as much as possible.

    Sending love,
    xoxo

  3. Sara says:

  9. Sara says:

Hudson is so so adorable!!! Congratulations! 🙂

  10. What a sweetie. I don’t think telling how he handsome will backfire on you at all. My first was a boy and next year he goes to college – as Jenny said it goes by so fast. It looks like you are taking the time to savor it all.

  13. Meghan Grace says:

He is really a pretty baby! What a blessing! When I was pregnant, I had 5 ultrasounds that by all indication showed I was having a girl. When I was overdue by a week, my doctor sent me to the hospital for an ultrasound using the high power machine. The technician then announced that we were having a boy!!!! Yikes! I didn’t know WHAT I was going to do with a BOY! Ha! It didn’t take too long to figure it out 🙂 and I too cannot imagine what I would do without him! Moms and sons have a very special bond-he is such a joy to me! Enjoy that darling boy! Meghan

  14. Diana says:

It just makes my heart so warm to hear your love spill over for your adorable son. I think that pic of Jon and Hudson could win a contest! Definitely frame-worthy! Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy!

  15. Casey says:

What a beautiful baby! Those are some really cute pics. How sweet! As a mom of 5 sons, I totally understand how you spend all day telling him how gorgeous and loved he is. One of the best things about having a son is you’ll always have his heart. My boys are now 34-33-31-30 and 26. They all still love their mommy and have no problem telling anyone that they’re “Moma’s boys” LOL. They picked wonderful women to marry and are now tender loving fathers & husbands. It’s a circle of love you’ll always cherish. Congratulations!

  16. Oh friend my heart might just explode with joy looking at these pictures. Hudson better be glad you cannot kiss cheeks through a computer screen because if you could I don’t think I could leave him alone! Not only does he look perfect…..he looks like Henry’s future BFF. Oh they don’t know the adventures we will have together!

PS- That picture with Jon is priceless

  17. Wendy says:

Hope you find a spare minute to visit and follow me sometime if you like. Sending you special wishes for a wonderful New Year I’m looking forward to keeping in touch in 2012.
    Always Wendy

  18. Hamptontoes says:

He certainly is delicious! Enjoy every single second of him. Motherhood is the greatest blessing in life. As for your little son, he is certainly blessed to call you and Jon parents. The daddy and son photo is priceless. XOXOXO.

  19. First of all, no mommy can get much done before 6 months of age! Even though they sleep all the time, you are sort of in a fog and don’t get clearly out until the 2nd half of that first year when they actually start sleeping decently! However, ONE way that I got a lot done was using the swaddling technique. Do you still swaddle him? Mine always faught it at first, but as soon as he was tight in there, then put in the wubanub (we had the same froggy!), that helped a lot and he would drift off to sleep! I loved doing the 5 S’s from Happiest baby on the block and that book Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child by Dr. Weissbluth! They are AWESOME! If you ever need another mama to talk baby sleep to, let me know! I love infant sleep resolving! haha!

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]

Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]

What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
