I have a slight addiction to scarfs. I’ve constantly picking up new ones and last week I scored an amazing deal. How chic is this scarf and it was only $9!
{Amazing color story: Pink, Orange, Black, Cream and White}
It’s colors reminded me of some home decor items I’ve been eying on Pinterest that it inspired a little entry way nook that I would love to see come to life.
I went with a little preppy and a little bit of ethic for an oh so stylish combination.
No. 1: I got dotty with this fun polka dot wallpaper for $55 per double roll.
No. 3 Accessories: Ok so a piece by Hugo Guinness is a bit on the pricey side this piece is $440 (framed),but every room deserves a splurge and/or you can easily recreate something similar on your own. A Jonathan Adler vaseand a black urchin box are the perfect finishing touches for our tabletop.
No. 4 A white lacquered grasscloth console is the perfect mix of chic and ethnic. To the trade only can be purchased by Effortless-Style Interiors.
No. 5 I’ve seen wicker baskets in all sort of places these days. (Home Goods, Target, West Elm) No need to purchase white dipped baskets you can easily recreate the look with these easy steps.
No. 6 My absolute favorite piece in the room and what my scarf immediately reminded me of is this stunning runner from my pal Amber’s shop!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
Loving this entryway! The pretty runner and mirror are my favorite parts. I love when little items can inspire us.
Cool interpretation. That runner has had my eye for awhile now! I am dying to try the dip-dyed look with some baskets too!
LOVE this look and definitely want to try the dip-dying technique. Thanks for including the JA vase from my boutique too! xx
LOVE that runner, that is beyond cute, but very stylish too!
