I started off the weekend on the right foot! A striped foot that is! I also realized that the majority of wardrobe has either a stripe or polka dot in it and this ensemble had both.
We headed into the city for my cousin’s birthday celebration! Hudson loved seeing all of the people out and about.
I simply adore my Aunt’s entryway so I had to snap a picture to share with all:
Jon had work so he stayed at home, but managed to sneak and pick this little guy up for me after work.
{I fell in love with this zebra on Thursday night, but didn’t pull the trigger and purchase him. Of course I spent the next couple of hours thinking of him and then panicking that something would buy him before I was able to get back. Luckily he was right where I had described when Jon stopped in to find him.}
Saturday I headed back into the city for a bridal shower. Here’s a peek into my outfit.
The shower was held in an outdoor garden:
I also got a peek into the host’s apartment and fell in love with his bathroom:
Not only did this teeny tiny bathroom (I had to stand in the tub to take this picture) have a mirrored vanity, but it also had a stunning crystal chandelier and a large piece of art in it.
On Sunday we had a day of fun in the sun! Jon has a beach permit so we can literally take his truck and park on the sand. Amazing!
Hudson and I both happened to be wearing so we had to take a picture together showing them off!
It wasn’t all fun and games. We were able to sneak in a little work and added some items to the empty space above Hudson’s settee. Stay tune for reveal pictures! I was waiting on some backordered items, but we are finally almost done!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
I recognize the orange and grey city mini stroller in Hudson’s picture! We have the same one and I love the color combo.
Ekkk, I’ve been DYING to see the nursery- come on big reveal!!!
Looks like you had a fabulous weekend! I love that bathroom and your outfits are all very cute! 🙂
Yay for the zebra! I would have been panicking too 🙂
