HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I love seeing what people tackle with their DIY projects. One of my recent favorite finds is this amazing rug: Close up: It actually started out like this: The talented Veronica from My Hands Made It took on this DIY project. Get her directions here. All images via My Hands Made It.

DIY, YOU DID WHAT

You did what?

I’m working on a side project for my business and lately I’ve been jotting down little bits of secrets in whatever notebook I have in my purse that day. Perhaps I should pick up this little notebook and keep all of my secrets in one place. It’s a teeny treat for only $5! Any guesses […]

about me

Take Note…

Since I was pregnant last Fall I really don’t have any appropriate fall items this year. I’ve slowly been picking up some items and since there was a slight chill in the air yesterday I was able to wear one of my favorites, a shirt dress. It didn’t look like much on the hanger, but […]

Fall Essential: Shirt Dress

I hope you all had a less eventful weekend than me. We were all set to have a fun filled family weekend with just our little party of 3 (plus 2 pups) and then Jon came home with a stomach ache Friday night. That turned into a pain that just wasn’t going away and at […]

Weekend Recap…

A couple of years ago I was hired as a birthday gift for a certain little lady named Julia. Julia was amazing to work with, because unlike my adult clients she knew exactly what she liked/disliked and was ready to make decisions and get her room revamped. I had a wonderful time working with her […]

I don’t know about you, but during my pre-teen years I was obsessed with Brenda falling in love with Dylan. Ah yes how amazing was the original 90210. I wanted nothing more than to have my Dad’s job relocate to Beverly Hills so that I could follow in Brenda’s footsteps. { Ha ha don’t we […]

Treat yo self: Teenage Power Couples

While this room is not traditionally my style I’ve had it saved away for some time due to one thing… {Image via Elle Decor.} I love a good monogram, but typically I tend to go with a more petite size. Those shams with the extra large monograms had me at hello! I love how the […]

Super-sized Monograms

Over the weekend I went to Ikea to pick up this pillow. Still playing around with where it’s going to, but so far it’s been living here and I’m liking it. I did a spin around the entire store to see what was new and here is a round up some of my must buy […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
