We got up early and got little Hudson all bundled up and ready to go to his swim class! We were all super excited, but when we got to the pool we found out the first class had been canceled! So sad! We decided to take Hudson to Toys R Us instead and he had fun testing out some wheels.
Then we headed back home to check out all of the garage sales that were happening in our neighborhood. It literally seemed like every other block was having multi family sales.
Sadly we left empty handed. We could not find one treasure.
The day warmed up so we had some fun swinging outside.
We also played around in Hudson’s nursery. He loves laying on the floor and looking at his orange ceiling.
Jon also wrapped up a some project we were working on a while back and we now have a nice shiny new hamper that works perfectly in our bedroom.
Mailed out the last of Hudson’s thank you cards. Felt so guilty that it took be forever to send out thank you cards so I had to make sure they were extra special. I have amazing help from Joni of Lay Baby Lay.
On Sunday we headed out to Benihani to celebrate my FIL’s birthday. They gave Hudson a hat and he looked so cute! Look at those ears!!!
We wrapped up the weekend, but heading over to Jericho Cider Mill. It’s my favorite place to get hot apple cider and oatmeal raisin cookies. Yum. If you are ever on Long Island you have to go!
Lastly we got to talk with my youngest sister on skype and lucky lady that she is Hudson walked his first solo steps while chatting with her!
Over all we had a fab fall weekend! What were you up to this weekend?
P.S. I also sneaked out on Friday night to watch Pitch Perfect with my sister and even though I think I was the oldest person there I loved it!
well, you are in for some eal adventures now that Hudson has taken that first step. they look so cute waddling in their diaper padded bottoms and the looks of wonderment of knowing they can get anyplace they want. He is so totally adorable and always amuses me how like a little man he looks and sojoyful.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
Looks like the perfect weekend! I can’t believe how big Hudson is!

Thanks Brenda! I know we are in trouble now. 🙂
What a SMALL world! I have been reading your blog for years. And, Joni was my sorority sister! So crazy to see two worlds collide 🙂
Totally small world. Joni is the sweetest.
