Look for Less: Palm Leaf Fabric
If someone were to ask me what my favorite movie was Troop Beverly Hills would in my top 5. I was obsessed with this movie when I was younger and I must say that whenever I catch it on TV I always stop to watch it.
I mean who didn’t want to grow up to be Phyllis Nefler or least have her as a troop leader.
I have a million favorites in this movie, but the one that is the most directed to interior design is when their camping trip ends up at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Even though I’ve never seen there I could pick it’s interior out of a line up due to it’s banana leaf wallpaper.
The iconic wallpaper is available to the trade via Hinson. Like usual to the trade typically means on the more expensive side of things. Luckily for you that I stumbled on a great look for less fabric that retails for only $10.95 a yard.
Apply it to your walls or get yourself a smaller does on the leafy greens with accent toss pillows or a chair.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Not only is it the look for less, but upholstered walls are the bomb.
I was thinking about that movie this weekend. I too was obsessed with it when I was younger.
beverly hills, what a thrill. i loooved this movie, i feel like it’s one of those that people either love or they’ve never seen it. i want to come across it on tv! i haven’t seen it in like a million years.

The Beverly Hills Hotel is one of my favorite spots in LA. I love to take out of town guests to the Polo Lounge for lunch because it’s so unique (it’s a love-it or hate-it kinda place). If you are ever out here, it’s a must-see!
