Hope you all had a good weekend. We had a really nice one that of course went way too quickly.
We started off our Saturday at guppies class and we now walk to the pool instead of needing to me carried.
After swim class we always head to our favorite thrift store that is on the way home and we came home with this beauty:
{Remember when I revamped one of these a couple of years ago?}
We spent of the rest of our Saturday getting all of our new to me (old/vintage) pieces that we have been buying for our One Kings Lane shop ready for paint.
We then went out for some crazy night life (Barnes and Noble at 5pm 🙂 ) and Hudson picked out some new books for his lucite bookshelves.
Sundays we headed to our favorite lunch spot and had some yummy food and treats and then headed to the near by duck pond.
Hudson met an older lady named, Layla. She is 14 months old and very stylish. He was smitten.
Then the park called where he lucky was just as smitten with me as he was with Layla.
We finished off our Sunday outing with a stop into Hermes. I typically don’t shop there, but this lucky lady got an H bracelet for mother’s day/birthday back in May and it was the wrong size. I had to return it and I’m now on what feels like a mile long waiting list for my H bracelet in gold/orange. It’s still not in stock. Ah tough problems, right ;).
{Even their tile floors are stylish. I promptly got yelled at from snapping pics. Whoops. }
We ended our weekend snagging a vintage cabinet from someone’s trash pile. Ha ha wish I had a picture of that, but it was so dark out. From Hermes to trash piles. What a weekend!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
