Hi All,
Hope you had a good weekend? We were able to get lots done. Here is a little peek into my weekend.
Shared my accessory with my living room sofa:
{Very happy I picked up two of these stripy scarfs}
Since we are having a photo shoot for a home tour in March I decided to hit some thrift stores to see if I could find any must have accessories for styling. Sadly I didn’t come home with anything, but I did find some fun items that I wanted to walk home with.
Cool vintage hardware:
{Reminded me of Pulp Designs new hardware line.}
Intense but amazing vintage furniture with brass bases:
Loved this hunter green and gold accent table. Good idea that you could recreate on your own table:
Hudson also had some fun when he found a massive table full of bells!
I always check out the luggage section of thrift stores, because I love the look of some vintage cases and I hit the jack pot at this store:
{ I didn’t “need” them so I left them behind and I’m still thinking about them. Wonder if they are still there? }
After all of that thrifting I ended up at HomeGoods, but again left empty handed, because everything looked too much like Home Goods. Know what I mean? I just couldn’t pull the trigger on anything, but I did find some amazing ikat chairs that were calling my name.
We then ended up at Moe’s for dinner where Hudson enjoyed his meal a little too much and it ended up all over his face and hair.
And ended the night with a cozy fire:
{Steps for recreating the monogram here.}
Sunday was filled with work related projects.
Figured out framing for my new Lulie Wallace piece:
We also finally finished Hudson’s custom piece of art:
{It went through a bunch of layers to get to the final outcome. Hudson just turned 14 months and I’m so relived it’s finally finished and we all love it.}
We did manage to squeeze in a little fun and played with Hudson. How sweet is this lions and zebra tic tac toe game?
We wrapped up the day by working on a DIY project. Details coming soon. Hudson wanted in on the action and kept stealing my fabric and using it for napping under the bench we were changing.
Here is a peek at the final project:
The evening ended with my curator sale for Joss and Main going live! Head over to check it out!
Eventful weekend, right? Whew. I’m tired just recapping it. What were you up to?
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
You certainly had a fun, busy week end. I was also searching for decorative items for the New York Design on a Dime event, the weather not cooperating, I ended up on ebay…
oh my goodness, you were busy!!!! I absolutely LOVE the side tables with the brass base, gorgeous! I totally know what you mean re: homegoods (homesense here) I feel the same way about some pieces.
Right? I love me some Home Goods and most times I find a million and ones I want, but this trip everything just looked like it was from there and not some unique find.
I love those green suitcases, I would have had trouble walking away from those!
I know! Totally regretting my decision!
I know what you mean about items calling your name. Recently I found a sweet Moderne night stand that I thought about for a week. I decided to go back, and told myself if it was still there it was mine. It was, and it now sits in my home happy and wonderful.
Oh yay! I love happy endings!
I know what you mean about Home Goods, I’ve had that same thought too. Prevents me from pulling the trigger on many items there. Productive weekend for sure!
I also purchased the Lulie Wallace prints. What frame style did you choose? I really love your style and I need help!! Thanks!!
Haven’t pick one yet! I will write a post about it when I pick one. The pressure is on. 🙂
Looks like you had a packed weekend of goodness! Little Hudson is getting so big, what a cutie! Congrats on your Joss and Main sale. I just looked at it, you have some great offerings. I have your Bangkok elephant side table in a stand up shower.
What a fun weekend! I absolutely love your pillows in the first photo! Can you tell me where the floral one on the left is from? I’ve been hunting for a floral pattern like that for our living room!
Hi Kelly,
It’s Misia from Manuel Canovas. It’s a bit pricey, but I’ve been in love with it for years that I finally pulled the trigger and got the fabric. It can only be ordered through the trade. If you are interested let me know and I can get you pricing/availablity.
