Hi All,
Hope you had all had a good weekend. I spent the end of the week and all of the weekend in a sea of tissues because Hudson’s little case of the sniffles turned into a full blown cold for me. There was no sweeter sight for me than seeing Jon arrive home at noon on Friday for the day to take care of me and Hudson. Daddy & Hubby of the year!
I felt bad keeping Hudson cooped up inside just because I wasn’t feeling well so we managed to get some things done.
We went to Barnes and Noble to play with the trains. Instead all Hudson wanted to do was ride the escalator up and down. I think we did a total of 6 round trips.
I was happy to pick up a little pick me up to make me feel a little better.
I was also able to paint my nails! It’s been months since I’ve had a manicure so it was nice to have a little free time to actually use some of my polishes and feel a bit more like me.
On Saturday while my instagram feed was full of friends off on vacations or somewhere down south where the weather is oh so warm and people are in shorts I was dealing with more snow fall.
We headed out in the wintery mix to take Hudson to an indoor playground and I have never seen him had more fun. The place was massive and there were kids everywhere.
When we got home I saw a package at the door and had totally forgotten what I had ordered. Isn’t that the best feeling? Love little surprises. Here is a peek at what was in the package:
{More details on this for treat yo self later on in the week}
There was another fun package in my mail and it was in a leopard box! Who doesn’t love a little something in a leopard box?
{Love my new monogram necklace from Keti Sorely.}
On Sunday I started my day again surrounded by tissues, but also with a little celeb reading.
I then moved my tissue party to the man den where I got to rest up and get better while watching some movies with my favorite men.
{Comfy outfit for getting better. Love my polka dot leggings.}
Ended the day back in the bedroom reading up on my newest issue of House Beautiful and was so happy to see my pal, Caitlin gracing one of the pages. Congrats love!
{Caitlin’s gold pillow covers are all 35% off in honor of St. Patrick’s Day until today. I think I need one of the dotted gold versions.}
Hope you all had a germ free weekend. Being sick stinks. I’m finally feeling a bit better today so here is hoping I’m over the worse of it.
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
I hope you feel better soon! 🙂
We have been sick around here too! No fun. I love your skirt and polka dot leggings, so cute!
Hahaha we’ve done the escalators “game” a few times too. Hope you’re feeling better!
I had the horrifying experience of being in a JcPenney store in Anchorage, Alaska ( I think it was 2010) when a little girl had her coat, and then her arm, sucked into the machinery of an escalator. People forget how dangerous they are. You should never sit on them! Crazy!
Totally agree Teri. I was yelling at Jon mid picture. He just got down for a second and came right back up. Hudson was standing the whole time.
