Jon always thinks I’m “finished” with a room in our house and then I get to surprise him and tell me that a. I will never be “finished” and b. I have something new I want to do.
Hudson’s toys have been taking over our living room. I’ve been trying to figure out different ways to hide them so they are out of site, but easy for Hudson to access when he wants to play.
Enter a wooden storage trunk that has just been floating around my house with no love being given to it. It was filled with CD’s, but since we never really use them I decided that the CD’s were out and Hudson’s toys were in.
I gave it a new lease on life with some high gloss green paint and then realized the top had a perfect insert for a little cushion. I went with leopard and all seemed right with the world and dare Jon say it, but it looked finished!
Well then I stumbled upon the beautiful new pillows in Brittany’s new shop.Brittany has amazing line of globally inspired pillows that are crafted in India. Now normally when you hear the words global, eclectic, ethnic the word glamorous doesn’t come to mind. Well Brittany changed that because all of her beautiful pillows are filled with gold/silver accents and even rhinestones!
Of course after viewing her pillows I had to break the news to Jon that we weren’t finished and we needed a pillow on top of the oh so pretty leopard cushion.
The pattern on the pillow is actually applied with rhinestone trim! It’s so delicately placed and will stay put for good because it’s sewn on not glued. Trust me Hudson gave it a good run for it’s money and it’s still perfect.
I also had fun moving the pillowall throughout my living room and it works everywhere!
As a sweet treat for all of my readers Brittany is offering 20% off your entire order with coupon code ES20!
Now the pillows range from $85-$115 and they have piping, invisible zippers and down inserts included! Now when you think about the yardage, trim, zipper, piping and down insert the pillows are at a really great price point for a designer pillow.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
Wow this looks cute! Love the touch of that pillow as well!
You can never have too many pillows I think. Thanks for sharing!
love the leopard and that pink pillow addition really sets it off!
