Hi All,
Hope you all had a lovely weekend! We had another Spring filled weekend which meant we had to split up the weekend with a little fun and a little work.
We started off with a trip into Brooklyn for some brunch.
If you are ever in the area you must stop at Seersucker.I had the chocolate stuffed french toast and Hudson had to have the scrambled egg, cheese and ham croissant sandwich so that Mommy could get a couple of bites in too!
Afterwards we went across the street to the playground and had some fun riding an elephant:
Then we moved locations and headed into the Dumbo area of Brooklyn and stopped into Dabney Lee’snew retail shop (More on this tomorrow. So pretty!)
Along with a quick peek into the Market from West Elm. Another beauty with more pictures coming this week.
It was a beautiful sunny day so after the shopping trips we headed towards the east river and went into East River Park. You could get right up to the waters edge and all of the kids were skipping stones into the water or at least trying too. Hudson and Jon had to go over and try themselves.
The park also included a massive ship themed playground. Hudson ran around for over an hour. He had never had more fun!

Of course before we headed home we popped into One Girl Cookies for some treats for the trip back home.
On Sunday we had to get some work done and since Hudson is now waking up at 6 am we got to work early and worked on the gallery wall:
We are almost done with it. Just missing 4 photos! I totally thought this was going to be a quick project where I would just hammer a couple of nails and be done with it, but it took a lot of planning to figure out sizes of frames and how many I needed, templates to be made to make sure spacing is correct and then actually inserting all of the photos into the frames and rehang them all. So much time, but worth it.
After all that work we treated ourselves to some lunch at our favorite bakery/cafe, which now had their outdoor seating open so we ate al fresco!
The day continued with some yardwork and power washing the house plus a trip to the park around the corner. Since it was a short walk we decided to take out a Power Wheels that Jon had found curbside and fixed.
{Hudson can’t reach the pedals so Jon has to get in with him and drive. The both love it and our battery power lasted for a round trip.}
Sadly all weekends must come to an end and this one ended with Hudson’s first bubble bath!
There are now tears at the end of bath time.
Happy Monday all!
P.S. Don’t forget that the lovely Loren from this weeks IN HER SHOES post and Loren Hope Jewelry offered all ES readers 10% off with coupon code EFFORTLESSSTYLE. So tempting!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
Loving your gallery wall!! It looks amazing! And so jealous you got to go to Dabney Lee. Can’t wait to hear more about that!
Looooveee the gallery wall and the fact that Hudson melts my heart each and every Monday morning.
Oh thanks Lindsay! So sweet!
I have the CUTEST nephew in the world!!! I miss my little munchkin!!!
I will have to agree with this!
What a wonderful weekend!! That gallery wall is aaaamazing Camila! I can only imagine how much work went into that, but boy it looks great! And how cute that it was Hudson’s first bubble bath!~ Hope you’re having a great Monday 😉
Thanks! It was worth all of the time/planning. Can’t wait to do a full reveal.
What a lovely weekend! Hudson is darling. Did I ever tell you that Holden was almost a Hudson? We couldn’t decide, and after he was born we truly flipped a coin. Crazy!
No I didn’t realize that! I had Holden on my list. We are big Catcher in the Rye fans so it was promptly added to the list, but in the end Hudson won.
The pictures of Hudson are adorable! And your gallery wall looks great–love the red frames and the fun chandy!!
