Treat yo self…Going to Market
I always say I’m going to the market instead of, “I’m going to the supermarket”. Not sure why, but saying market just makes me feel like I’m a character in a Nancy Meyers movie that is off for a leisurely scroll in a fancy market full of organic goodies that of course have zero calories instead of my local supermarket to do the mundane grocery shopping for the week that includes only WW friendly foods.
So when I saw this Going to Market tote on Blair Ritchey’s instagram feed I knew I had to have it. It arrived a couple of days ago and I’ve already displayed it in my newly cleaned office:
Using the word market now also reminds me of High Point Furniture Market so I used the bag during a recent client meeting and it was perfect for jamming in all of my goodies.

I even used it on a recent trip to the market to pick up lunch supplies and some fresh flowers for the house.
It’s the perfect lightweight canvas tote with bold cobalt piping and lettering that is going to be used on a daily basis in my house. I hate using plastic bags so I love bringing out canvas totes when I go shopping or need to haul my essentials like fabric samples around.

ON THE BLOG
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

Love this! People always think its funny when I say ‘I’m going to the market’ but its totally normal to me….maybe its as east coast thing (Im from CT) 🙂
I’m from NY so it’s not an east coast thing, because I get made fun of too. I think it must be a Southern thing.
