Thanks to Procter & Gamble and Lowes for sponsoring this post.
We are still currently awaiting a new deck. DIY does save you a ton of money, but with a mountain of projects that need to get done the deck has been pushed back these last couple of weeks. We are hoping to tackle it at some point this July.
While our backyard has been sort of sparse the weather has been rising and we have been spending more and and more time outside so a couple of weeks we searched our garage for spare furniture we could use for outside dining. A quick trip to the garage and we found a white plastic outdoor door table and a search of the outside area behind the garage led to some white plastic chairs.
Not chic and oh so dirty, but we figured it would work for the time being.
Thanks to the lovely people at Procter and Gambleand LowesI had the perfect thing to get my chairs spotless.
It only took a matter of seconds for the spray to work it’s magic!
Voila all clean!
After that I figured a quick outdoor get together was in order. I went into my kitchen and came out with supplies for the perfect treat!
{Is it sad or amazing that I have my kitchen stocked with S’mores supplies?}
A quick trip to my fabric classic produced a black and white gingham fabric to be used as a tablecloth. No sewing for this lady just a simple draping job. On top of the tablecloth went my S’mores supplies and goodies from my china cabinet along with a tabletop Weber grill for roasting our marshmallows!
{Caught the graham cracker thief in action!}
The whole set up including cleaning those chairs took about 15 mins and we were ready to enjoy the sun and some sweets.
If you need help getting your own backyard area ready for summer you? One of my lovely readers will be able to win a cleaning pack from Procter & Gamble including:

I wasn’t sure there was anything out there that could really clean those white lawn chairs onc they’ve gotten dirty, but they look great! My favorite summer snack is without a doubt, ice cream.
I love your s’more tray. Super cute. My favorite summer treat is a shaved ice snowcone. They are especially refreshing on our super hot Texas summer days.
Glad to see that someone has finally figured out how to get those chairs clean! I feel like so much elbow grease had to go into trying to clean them up…until now! Thanks for sharing!
Oh, and my favorite summer treat is being able to eat straight out of the garden whether that be strawberries, green beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, whatever!
So fun! I’m considering using that Mr. Clean spray on a couple wooden pieces that have been in the garage for a while! Can’t believe how clean your chairs came!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
