Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We had a nice relaxing 4th of July weekend and are moving slowly this morning.
Here is a peek at what we were up to…
We spent 4th of July out east and Hudson got to hang out with his cousin Ella.
On Friday Jon had to head back to work, but we went to the beach with my family and enjoyed some time under a beach umbrella.
On Saturday we splurged and upgraded our pool, because this momma wanted to fit in the pool too.
We put a second coat of paint on the front door and I’m in heaven. Take a peek:
Went to Trader Joe’s to pick up some food for dinner and was happy to be finally be met with peonies when I walked in. I have been trying to get some peonies for weeks and weeks now and Trader Joe’s is always out of them.
Put them in my cute gurgle pot (Thanks Ximena!)
On Sunday we took the boat out. It was the first time we were out this season and it was heaven. Hudson loved it and we were able to find some sand bars where we could anchor near by and walk to the beach.
On the way back Hudson decided he wanted to be upgraded to Captain!
{Don’t worry he did this when the boat was stopped at the dock and we were getting ready to place it back on the trailer.}
Since last week was a bit spotty with readership due to people getting away early for the holiday weekend in case you missed it I’m running a give-away for P&G cleaning products and a $100 gift card to Lowes!
I am obsessed with that vivid green door! Such a great color choice. I’m glad you got to get out on the water this 4th weekend- that was our tradition growing up!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]

Your door knocker is crazy amazing.
The green door is insane! I wish I was as brave with color as you are, high risk, high reward, right? 😉
