Hope you all had a great weekend. We had a nice Saturday to just relax and then spent Sunday getting some finishing touches done in our house.
Saturday morning we were greeted by this when Hudson decided to help himself and the floor to some breakfast!
Look at that face? How could we get mad at him? While our morning was spent mostly cleaning up that mess the rest of our day cleared up when our plans fell through so we were left with nothing to do on a sweltering hot day!
So, what we were to do? Head to Grandma & Grandpa’s and use their pool!
I was also able to step out for a little shopping and found a dress for the wedding I have this weekend!
I know the stripes and colors can be a little much for some, but I fell in love with it and it just screamed me when I saw it. Plus it fit perfectly and had pockets! Ring me up! The deal of the century though was when my mom went to pay for the cocktail dress she found and it rung up for $5 (Original price $185) ! Crazy, right?
Sunday we spent our morning in bed being super lazy and then headed out to our favorite bakery/cafe where Hudson always cleans his plate.
We then spent the rest of the day getting some things done in the house. So a new rug in the bedroom that I have had just sitting there for months was finally laid out!
{Orange plus polka dots plus an ok from Jon! Ah I’m in love. In love with it too? It’s called Maroc by Jaipur.}
Then we got our newly painted nightstands up to their new home.
We then spent a good chunk of the afternoon putting everything into our new nightstands and getting our room back into order.
Lastly we place our new to me vintage runner from Esale Rugsin our hallway.
{Love how it looks with our red/orange gallery wall. Working on the new roman shade this week and then will be able to do a full reveal!}
Now we are back to Monday and while I’m typically not a fan of the start of the week I am super excited for Royal baby madness! Can’t wait to find out if it’s a boy or a girl.
oh boy hang onto your grocery budget,mother. it is so totally rewarding to NOT have a picky eater but with that start for having a clean plate keep promoting it. Having a child that had a good healthy appetite and then knowing people that had to cope with little and then bigger ones that had picky picky eating habits to the point of nto eating a piece of toast unless it was cut a certain way. Hudson’s clean plate is a major blessing.
My dress wasn’t $5 it was my mom’s dress that rang up as $5. My dress was on sale for $64 and it was from Nordstrom Rack by a brand named Taylor Designs.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
