Zhushing up an Ikea Latt Children’s table

  1. What a great idea! It looks fabulous! I gave my sister my children’s old table set and we wanted to paint it with chalkboard paint – love that the brand you used has no VOC!

  2. Marissa says:

This is the cutest DIY idea ever! I love the idea to draw the roads on top. I’m definitely keeping this in mind for when my 6 month old little dude is your adorable son’s age.

P.S. Your about section is awesome! Too cute!

  3. Great idea! I have the same table but hadn’t even thought of hacking the look until now – I love the orange look. I linked to your post today on my new blog of daily hints to help make parenting easier and cheaper:

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
