While I’m sad that Summer has ended I’m extremely excited about Fall! I don’t love that it gets dark so much earlier, but who doesn’t love the crisp weather and breaking out your boots. Of course my favorite part of Fall is Thanksgiving and I’m looking forward to hosting lots of little get togethers this holiday season. So, when Chippmunk contacted me about working with them and using their site to find some great steals and deals with coupon codes that are actually active and work for a fall project I knew just what I wanted to do.
One of the key pieces in entertaining is a good bar cart. I’m not a big drinker so my bar cart may look a bit different then yours, but I think the basics for how to style one remain the same. I was able to score these etched decanters for water and juice at 30% off from Horchow.
Once they arrived it got me excited for styling my bar cart and after a little shopping around my house I realized I already owned most of the items needed for finishing up the look!
Let’s break it down now. I used the top level of the cart to house my new decanters, paper straws, an ice bucket, a tray for easy drink mobility when guest are in another room, coasters, because no one likes water rings and some fresh flowers in my favorite mini vase.
After seeing this great tutorial on gumball drink stirrers I decided to get a little fancy and dress up my drinks. Such an easy project that makes a wow statement.
I used the bottom level to house my glasses, cloth napkins, a cocktail mixer, and a mix of drinks.
Now I know my cart is missing alcohol, but you can easily swap out some of my drinks and pop in some bottles of liquor.
I was so excited to finish this project and it was all thanks to Chippmunk for inspiring me to get started on it. I normally window shop at Horchow, but it’s never a first stop when I’m actually looking to purchase something, because they can be a little on the high end, but with Chippmunks search feature it popped up right away and gave me a coupon code for 30% off!
My little bar cart that could is going to be featured on their expert shopper page and today they will launch one of their contests where you can win $600 in prizes by uploading your own steal and deal that you purchased due to their site. You can also enter by tweeting or instagramming your find and using the hashtags: #chippmunkexpertshopper and #falldecor and let your followers know all about your deal.
Bonne Chance everyone! Can’t wait to see what people submit.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
