Hope you all had a great weekend! We had fun, but I must admit it just flew by and as I type this Sunday night I’m already afraid that I will be hit with quite a case of the Monday’s.
Here is a little peek into what we were up.
We popped into my In-Laws to wish them a Happy Anniversary and drop off some flowers for them:
{ I always dress up plain jane glass vases with a little ribbon and double sided tape!}
I love making my own arrangements. I went to town at Traders Joe and with around $30 of flowers I was able to make 2 arrangements (One for Jon’s parents anniversary and one for my parents anniversary) and even had spare flowers for me. Win, win.
The weekend was filled with thrifting as we headed out east to check out this random indoor flea market store front that we always drive by, but it’s never opened. We had luck on our side and it happened to be opened on Saturday. It was massive:
{This is just one section of the place. It was huge, but sadly we didn’t find any treasures for us and left empty handed.}
We then popped over to The Red Collection,a consignment shop that is closing it’s doors at the end of Sept so their were deals to be had.
Jon managed to sweet talk from $100 to $35 and this garden stool came home with us:
We also popped into a Salvation Army on Main St in Riverhead and found this beauty:
{It was $100, but we didn’t “need” it so we left it behind. They have 50% off sale days on Wednesday so if you live near by and it’s calling your name too head over then.”
Hudson was such a trooper during thrifting that we treated him to a little fun and went over to the Aquarium so that he could check out the seals getting feed.
Of course what is a trip out east with a stop into the outlets where I found a C.Wonder outlet. Found some great steals on their pillows:
It’s so nice to have everything organized and out on display.
Ah love getting the house into order. The weekend ended with a nice dinner at my parents house were we got to meet one of my sister’s friends and old flatmate from London. I had to stop myself numerous times from breaking out my fake English accent. 😉
Heading out to Hampton Bays tomorrow…may stop in Riverhead first and check out your suggestions. Love the C. Wonder pillows and the consignment store on E. Main St. Thanks for the great tips!!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
