Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It was a weekend were we had very little plans, but lots was tackled.
On Saturday morning Hudson’s little school was part of a parade so off we went to march. I have never actually been in a parade so it was fun to be a part of it and I even got to hold the banner!
Afterwards Hudson had a blast running around the H.S. football field:
Afterwards we had some lunch and then headed out to a hatchery on L.I were they were having a fall festival. Hudson got to feed lots of fish so he was a happy man.
Since Hudson wouldn’t cooperate with pictures I got my other baby to smile and take some pics as a fisherman.
Afterwards I had fun pulling fabric samples and getting inspiration for a new project I’m working on. I love when my clients adore color and patterns as much as me!
On Sunday we were up bright and early, because this lady fell asleep at 9:30 on Saturday night and Jon quickly followed. Party animals!
We got busy early to make the most of the day. On the agenda was power washing the house:
Hudson did a lot of supervising in the hammock:
In between power washing I worked on a painting for my sister’s new apartment:
When we finally finished up with house it was 5pm, but still light out so headed out for a walk around town and stopped by a large plant nursery that has a petting zoo up for the fall. Hudson loves checking out the animals.
After checking out the petting zoo and their koi fish section we continued our walk into town for dinner at our favorite Mexican joint.
All in all a good weekend. I felt like we did a ton yet nothing at the same time, because power washing and lawn up keep aren’t home projects that are too exciting to blog about, but happy they are done.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
Looks like a fun weekend!!
