Scenes from my weekend…

This weekend was filled with snowflakes and celebrating! You see my little man turned 2 on Saturday and we had a party to celebrate on Sunday!
Saturday was filled with prep work for the party. Snacks needed to be bought, paper goods picked out and the birthday cake needed to be baked.
On Sunday we rested in the morning and then headed to the indoor pool in our town for Hudson’s big bash!
Take a peek at Hudson’s big day! I had all intentions with going nuts and doing a whole fish theme since we were at an indoor pool and Hudson loves them, but at the end of the day it was only a 2 hour party and with Christmas right around the corner I turned things down a bit and didn’t go nuts with DIY decor and food.
How hard is it to get a good family shot? Normally it’s Hudson not looking at the camera, but this time around I either had a nutty expression or Jon was looking away from the camera. This is the best one of everyone. 🙂
The King of fiesta hit the floor almost immediately when he got into the party room. He loves looking up at light fixtures for some reason.
Who wore it best? Two of Hudson’s Aunties showed up in the same suit! I think they both look fab!

Ah it goes by so fast! We will be coming off our cake and present high today, but tomorrow it’s back to Christmas gift DIY projects!
A big thanks to both of our families for helping with all of the prep and on the big day! It was only a 2 hour party, but so much work went into it. Also lots of love to all the friends and family that came to celebrate with us and spoiled my little man with love and don’t forget the presents!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

I can’t believe he is 2 already! Time flies by doesn’t it! I feel like you just had him! He’s such a cutie and it looks like he had a great time!! I love his cake!!
