Hope you all had a lovely weekend. After a tough week I had a wonderful weekend that started with fresh flowers:
Bought over by my mom and two sisters! We were off for a day of celebrating me and this new little bundle that is set to arrive in 6 weeks!!!!!Ah!!!
We started our day off at the spa courtesy of my very thoughtful Dad who treated us all to massages:
After our massages we headed out to a yummy lunch at Toast & Cowhere we started our meal with french toast bites:
Along with a burrito crunch:
Followed by a quick stop at Bon Bon’s Chocolatierin order to pick up some goodies for our last stop.
We then ended up at a pottery shop to paint some goodies for the new baby!
{I went a little off track and painted something for myself! Whoops!}
It was a very sweet and thoughtful day. When I was pregnant with Hudson we had quite the baby shower,but this little guy hadn’t gotten a fete so, it was nice to be treated to day out on the town and full of goodies for the new little man.
{Blankets, bibs and onesies oh my!}
I was one tired momma by the end of the day.
On Sunday I got to admire our new privacy fence on the side of the yard. Our chain link fence got ruined during Hurricane Sandy and we finally decided to get it fixed and upgraded to PVC fencing instead.
Hudson loved all of the extra dirt the workers left behind:
We then got dressed for the day and headed out to an arbor day festival.
Of course like all plans you can’t expect everything to work out perfectly, because we arrived with a napping man to the mainly kids related event we went to.
Our day ended at Jon’s parents house where we got to see Hudson’s Aunt JoJo and help her celebrate her 30th birthday! Of course my iphone camera storage was full and alas no photos of the end of our weekend.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
Sounds like a wonderful weekend!
