Our weekend started out with a little work. We were all out the door by 9:30 to head to a clients house and snap some photos for my portfolio.
Here is a little peek:
Afterwards we headed to a nearby park where Hudson got to get some energy out, Ash got his bottle and Jon and I enjoyed a groovy treat.
{Ah so yummy! Remind me of this photo when I complain to Jon yet again that I have yet to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Apparently my body likes to hold on to weight while I breastfeed not have it melt off of me. Boo!}
Since everyone was in good spirits we continued with some work errands I needed to do and I took a trip to the Duralee Outlet.I came armed with fabric samples I was using in clients rooms and was happy to come out with so many coordinating fabrics that work in the spaces.
I left a happy lady. Since we are using a good amount of high end fabrics it’s nice to score some deals at the Duralee outlet and know it’s still high quality fabric.
Afterwards I popped over to Christmas Tree Shops to pick some curtain panels I spied for a client. I normally like to do custom curtain panels, but since this client will be moving soon we didn’t want to spend money on them, but still needed them in order to make an impact in the room.
Was happy to see they had what I needed in stock and that they were actually really nice for only $10 per panel.
We finished off our day with our first drive on the beach as a family of 4!
Hudson had a blast.
Asher wasn’t too impressed.
You don’t want to know how many shots it took to get this shot and this was as good as it gets.
On Sunday we ran an errand in the morning to pick up supplies for a chair re-vamp I’m working on. The chair started out green and then went to this lovely orange creamsicle like color.
The rest of the day was spent at home just relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.
Snack time is now on the deck.
Asher enjoys to wear a bit more clothes. He is always chilly!
We ended our evening enjoying a little BBQ and testing out some spicesJon got for Father’s Day.
Plus a little cake, which as you can see Hudson enjoyed.
I don’t loose weight breastfeeding either! At least not enough to look like my un-pregnant self. I def think your body holds some lbs to make the milk, at least mine does. Enjoy the baby! Eat those donuts! You deserve it on multiple levels:) Plenty of time to worry about diets later.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
