HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

Back when I was in High School the hallways at school were cluttered with bags that had a little monkey key chain on them. I quickly found out that they were from a brand called, Kipling and I needed to get my hands on one. I was lucky enough to get a backpack due to […]

#Kipling Holiday Tour

One of my favorite projects from my Home Depot Style Challenge reveal is the lucite menus that I made for the dinner. It was such an easy project to tackle and I think it made the most impact. We picked up some 8″ x 11″ acrylic sheets available at Home Depot. They were around $4 […]

DIY LUCITE MENU

Two months ago some mystery boxes arrived on my door step. They were orange on the outside (my favorite color!) and full of Home Depotgoodies on the inside. You see I was picked to be part of the latest round of Style Challenges and this time we needed to tackle Holiday decor. I’m not a […]

Home Depot Holiday Style Challenge

This weekend was full of laundry, laundry and no laundry. I’m not kidding. With a little baby and a little guy that is potty trained, but still has some hiccups we have loads upon loads of laundry and on Saturday we stayed while it was chilly outside we stayed inside and got it all done. […]

weekend recap

Scenes from my weekend…

This week the cold that hit Hudson late last week got passed along to Asher and then to me. Not fun to under the weather with two little ones that don’t feel great and both want their mommy at the same time. I’m very happy that it’s finally Friday! -I want to make oodles and […]

Friday Finds…

Green has always been one of my favorite colors. Other colors have come and gone as my favorite, but green has always been a constant with me. It always looks so fresh and vibrant and pairs well with so many other colors that I tend to use it quite a bit in my design work. […]

Treat Yo Self: Green with Envy

A couple of weeks ago I was in the city for a meeting and was able to go out with my sister for lunch afterwards. We did a little shopping first and realized we were literally feet away from The Meatball Shop. I toyed with going, because of the diet, but decided when in Rome […]

Effortless: Meatball Dinner

During the summer I managed to score the deal of the century. My pal, Roxy of Society Social fame was selling a couple of chairs from her showroom. They had been used in photo shoots and she was looking to free up some space so I was able to pick up a Darlington chair for […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
