This weekend was full of work, work and more work. We had a lot of physical labor to do with two projects we were wrapping up that we thought would take a couple of hours, but took the whole weekend. I also was working on a Christmas surprise for Jon and spent around 12 hours attached to my computer. My hands are literally aching from all of the computer time. But after 3 nights of getting to bed around 2am I’m happy to report that it’s all finished!
I did manage to snap a couple of pics for the weekend recap.
Here is a peek at the project we were working on:
I went out Saturday night to the outlets to get a little shopping done and Hudson was quite the helpful shopper. He even found a way to distract himself during the long lines. 😉
We then grabbed a bite at Johnny Rockets were Asher was quite the hit!
Hudson officially turned 3 on Sunday! It’s so crazy. I know everyone says it goes so fast and it really seems like they are being cheesy or exaggerating, but it really does. I don’t know where the days go. I can go back to the moment in the delivery room just by closing my eyes and here he is a little man. Ah.
Since we had his birthday party last weekend we didn’t have anything big planned for this weekend.
Hudson enjoyed a nice bath with his brother.
Then we had lots of issues with potty training and time outs. Someone seems to be regressing and has lots of attitude. It was not a fun morning. In the afternoon we took him out bowling for the first time.
Hudson loved it!
Jon explained what he had to do:
Then Hudson went off to tackle it on his own:
Even Asher got into the action:
The day continue with more projects and then a little birthday cake action. Hudson loves nothing more than blowing out candles.
Crazy weekend and now we are back at Monday. Hoping to get a couple more gift guides out today/tomorrow. Hopefully the boys the day will go smoothly and I will be able to.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
