Ah the last weekend before Christmas. Luckily I did the majority of my shopping online and I didn’t have to step foot in the mall.
However my office now looks like it’s going to explode because I have been storing all of the boxes in there and away from little hands.
I did pop into my local HomeGoods to pick up a grab bag gift and found this must buy pillow from Jonathan Adler on sale for $10!
I always find HomeGoods to be hit or miss. I either leave with nothing or leave with a cart full. This was one of those cart full days and I also found this pretty new comforter for our bedroom.
Next door to HomeGoods is a Charming Charlie and their store window makes it oh so tempting so, I went in for a little spin. I left empty handed, but did find a zebra scarf I thought you would all enjoy. I have a similar one and everyone always asks where it came from, but normally I’m no help, because it was a gift from London that my sweet sister bought for me.
After a little morning shopping we headed off to a Christmas party. Asher rocked some adorable shoes!
Fun was had by all and we were even able to get all of the kids together for a group shot. It was pretty impossible to do it, but here is the best of the worst. 🙂
{ Can you spy my two little guys?}
Sunday morning the boys enjoyed some Daddy time before we went out for the day.
We then ran out to Trader Joes for supplies and I came home with this adorable mini orchid for only $5.99. I slipped it into one of my DIY Glassybaby votive holders.
We spent the rest of the day at home where we introduced Hudson to the Transformers movies. He was hooked!
Hung a new print that I picked up during cyber Monday.
Contemplated working on a DIY project I wanted to tackle.
Decided to eat leftover desserts instead:
We ended the night reading up on a grouting project we are working on this week. Did you know you can order custom colored grout stain? I went for a bold orange. We shall see how it goes.
Looking forward to a short week! Happy Monday, all.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
hi – where did you find your red franes?
They are from Ikea. There Ribba frames come in red.
Where did you get the plaid fabric? I love them.
They were all finds from JoAnns.
