HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

Ah young sweet love. When Jon and I were dating every occasion was celebrated from a 6 month anniversary to traditional Valentine’s day and sometimes a just because. The best part of celebrating was of course gift giving and during our relationship I have amassed quite a jewelry collection. Not an Elizabeth Taylor sort of […]

Renovate your jewels!

The snow is finally 95% gone and it was warm enough yesterday to go out without a jacket and slip on ballet flats without any sort of sock! Amazing, right? Spring is finally upon us and in order to get into the spirit I decided to tackle a little floral wreath project. Here is what […]

DIY Bubble Burlap Wreath

Friday night I was up till 4 am and not for the reason that most people are up that late at the start of the weekend. Instead of dancing my worries away I was home dealing with a super cranky baby that had gotten his older brothers cold and couldn’t fall asleep. Jon tried helping […]

Whenever I have any free time I enjoy taking yoga classes. I must admit it’s been quite some time since I have been able to take a class, but I’m looking forward to starting up again this Spring. Of course along with trying to find a new class I’ve also been checking out yoga gear. […]

Treat Yo Self: Magic Carpet Yoga Mats

In the past couple of months my parents have replaced both of their living room sofas. Out went the camel back sofas that I remember picking out with them years ago and in went some beautiful tufted sofas. We didn’t want a matching set of sofas so we ended up purchasing sofas from two different […]

Ready Made vs. Assembly Required Sofas

{The Empire chandelier in all it’s glory.} For the longest time I have been in love with the beautiful chandeliers that Marjorie Skouras designs. They are stunning works of art in the form of beaded chandeliers and like works of art they are pricey! I’m certain they are worth every penny, but I don’t think […]

Look for Less: Beaded Chandelier

This weekend was full of nothingness and not fun nothings, but nothings like having a mile long to-do list that we had to tackle over the weekend and not just relaxing at home. We tackled some cleaning: {Don’t worry this wasn’t turned on.} I prepared some business cards for a networking event I have to […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
