Friday night I was up till 4 am and not for the reason that most people are up that late at the start of the weekend. Instead of dancing my worries away I was home dealing with a super cranky baby that had gotten his older brothers cold and couldn’t fall asleep. Jon tried helping me out, but Asher only had eyes for me. It was exhausting and we both felt so bad for our little man.
So, our weekend was pretty tame and uneventful as we spent most of our Saturday like this:
In the evening I did manage to go out and pick up some pizza for dinner and stop at a fabric shop to pick up some goodies for clients and myself.
These beautiful fabrics will now be gracing seats. The ikat will be going on dining chairs and the floral on accent chairs.
I have been loving chintz this season. Who doesn’t love unapologetic massive florals? Here is the start of a new fabric scheme for a client.
I also picked up some coral burlap to tackle a little DIY project. If it goes well I will be showcasing it this week. Fingers crossed.
On Sunday everyone was feeling a bit better and Asher’s fever was gone! We decided to get a little fresh air and go say hello to both sets of grandparents and run a couple of errands.
My perfectly pink kicks that helped me keep a kick in my step while I ran around town.
Jon also got a text from a friend about a piece of furniture in this neighborhood that was curbside. We loved the lines on the piece and went to pick it up!
Our day ended back in our cozy bed winding down from the weekend. Aren’t they the sweetest?
Where do the weekends go? They always end so quickly, but at least we are set to have a nice sunny day this Monday that will, dare I say it, be WARM!!!!!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
