Scenes from my weekend…
This weekend felt like a never ending marathon. We went from one stop to another and never really ended up having any down time at home.
Saturday we had soccer practice bright and early. Hudson loves it and this class was full of lots of group hugs.
After soccer we drove to Brooklyn for a birthday party!
It was a long day and we ended up getting home right around dinner time.
Our Sunday was just as jammed packed. I’ve been working on a mystery mother’s day gift so I spent the morning working on that. Then in the early afternoon we headed out to celebrate Jon’s sisters birthday. We ended up doing a little picnic at a local park that was running an arbor day celebration.

Hudson is still going through his NO PICTURES phase. It’s driving this photo loving momma nuts. He is now constantly covering his face with his hands and also screaming when I go to take Ashers photo. Ah!
We ended our birthday celebration with presents and cakes at Grandma and Pop-pops. Hudson loves birthday cake time. He always has to “help” blow the candles out.
When we got back home I was back to working on my mother’s day gift. So tired!

ON THE BLOG
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

Thanks! It’s actually a random find from Sears! I went in to put up a tool for Jon and came out with a coat! I don’t know if they still have it. I bought it around November, but just started wearing it now.
I love the candid shots, maybe just do those and your little guy will forget his fear of the camera?
I do try candid shots, but lately when he sees my phone come out for photos he freaks out. I think he is starting to find it funny and is covering his face for a laugh. We shall see how it goes.
Don’t want to be mean. You’re kids are adorable. But, MAYBE…stop trying to take pictures of your kids if they don’t want it. If I google “Hudson photos” your child shows up. Do you want that all over the internet? I love your DIYs and other projects. I DON’T need to see your children all over the internet, and they and/or your husband may not like it now or in the future, either.

Thanks for your concern, but I’m a mom so I’m always going to take pictures. Do I need to post them on my blog? No I guess I don’t, but my blog is as much for me as it is for my readers and I like to share some aspects of my personal life on it. It’s an online journal of sorts for me and I like looking back on my weekend recap and seeing what I did with my family that weekend. Hudson actually loves seeing the photos of them up on the blog. He is just a 3 year old who like to argue with his momma and since I want photos he doesn’t. Simple as that.
