You know it’s a good weekend when you have a glow on your skin. Ok so really I just forgot my sunblock this weekend and got a little sun kissed. We were full of outdoor activities this past weekend.
On Saturday we headed to our typical soccer class and then we were back at home to get ready for a wedding! Jon’s cousin was getting married and it was an afternoon wedding so the boys were invited as well.
The photo from soccer! Come on. Adorable, right? I need Real Madrid to scout him. 🙂
My dapper date:
The reception was at a Beer Garden and it had a very rustic/backyard vibe to it. There were chalkboard signs throughout, picnic tables, burlap accents and board games sprinkled throughout the tables so guests could just relax, eat, talk and play a game or two while listening to the swing band in the background.
Look guys we finally got Hudson to look at the camera and smile! Ok so we promised him an Iron Man toy if he did it. So big smiles from him. Look at Ash. Ah! You can’t win.
The new Mr. and Mrs. who were just in bliss. So sweet.
Peonies everywhere especially in the bridal bouquet!
The beautiful cake that actually tasted amazing! I never like wedding cake, but this one was so good! Totally regretting not picking up an extra slice!
On Sunday we enjoyed some festivities from the night before. Love when the bride tells me to take home a centerpiece. Don’t mind if I do! Everyone’s favorite part of the night? Taking photos with the Instax Mini. I want one!
Then we headed out to a local festival where we ate some yummy food. They had bacon and cheese stuffed pretzels!
Hudson went on all the bouncy items what felt like a million and one times.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
