HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I was lucky enough to get asked to speak at Haven Conference this year. Excitement quickly turned to sheer terror, because I’m not a huge fan of public speaking. Originally I assumed I would be speaking about blogging, but it turns out they wanted me to talk about design instead. I love both so I […]

This past weekend (Ok so really our travels started on Thursday) we headed out to Atlanta so that I could attend and speak at Haven Conference. We had a super early flight because we wanted to enjoy the most of Atlanta on my free day. Hudson was big help at the airport. He carried his […]

Friday Finds…

During one of my weekly trips to Target I decided to scroll past the outdoor section. Did I really need anything? No, but when has that ever stopped anyone at Target. I was drawn to all of the clearance signs, because outdoor was on it’s way out and Back to School items were starting to […]

There was a time when I would literally polish my nails about every day. This was back in my freshman year of college when I had all of my classes scheduled in the morning and the rest of the day to myself. Ah! Imagine the bliss! Now a days that doesn’t really happen anymore, but […]

This weekend was a fun one! We got to celebrate my sister’s engagement with a surprise engagement party that her fiance threw! I had been trying to avoid my sister all week, because I was so scared I was going to put my foot in my mouth and say something about the party! All was […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
